$750 to $25,000:

  • Class D felony: Punishable by up to 7 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000.

$25,000 to $75,000:

  • Class C felony: Punishable by 3 to 10 years in prison and/or a fine up to $10,000.

Over $75,000:

  • Class B felony: Punishable by 5 to 15 years in prison.

Additionally, victims can pursue civil remedies for restitution in Missouri, allowing them to recover monetary damages caused by the identity theft. These penalties reflect Missouri’s efforts to treat identity theft as a serious offense, particularly when larger financial or property losses are involved.
